Production Facility Visit
Earlier this month, we paid a visit to our co-packer for the production of our Lemon and Coconut bars. It was an early start as the mixing process began at 6.30am with the natural ingredients added to a mixer and turned. Next, the Lemon and Coconut mixture was compressed and cut into their familiar bar shape which required all hands on deck to check sizing, and consistency. After this, the sealing and packing began, and Vanessa and Lachlan joined the production line, just like old times!
In The News!
Food waste made news headlines recently as Rabobank's Food Waste report was released for 2020. The report found that Aussies waste on average $1000 of food every year, a 10% increase since last year. Simply put, during the pandemic we've been stock pilling and wasting more food. Co-founder Vanessa spoke to NewsCorp, Channel 7 Regional as well as WIN TV about this. Catch the full story on Channel 7 below.
In November, we also spoke to AusBiz for their StartUp Daily program to discuss I Am Grounded and our future. If you're interested to learn more the full interview can be watched here.
